今年年仅21岁的女歌手凯蒂．梅卢阿(Katie Melua)出生于前苏联的一个小国 Georgia(格鲁吉亚)。成长于莫斯科、黑海、北爱尔兰及伦敦。从小梦想可以从政或成为史学家的她，就读英国表演艺术学校时被音乐制作人Mike Batt挖掘，签入独立厂牌DRAMATICO旗下。2003年底，Katie Melua以新星的姿态涌出歌坛，首支单曲"The Closest Thing To Crazy"强登英国金榜Top 10。不久，广获好评的首张专辑《Call Of The Search》一举挤下英伦人气天后Dido、击退Norah Jones，荣获6周英国金榜后座，成为英国2004开春迄今最畅销专辑。 年轻的她走过很多路，从东欧前格鲁吉亚苏维埃社会主义共和国，到北爱尔兰的贝尔法斯特，再到英国，在路上，漂泊的人生，漂泊的歌声，淡淡的忧愁。 不知道是否也来到过中国，是否走到过北京？否则为什么能写出这样的歌来呢？ 且不想这些问题了，音乐最重要。一起来听听看。

这位前苏联乔治亚共和国出生，在爱尔兰成长的英国姑娘用一堆大热大卖的数据气象万千地堆出了个一时无二的潮头女唱将形象，被媒体奉为欧洲的诺拉琼斯。 十月，这位“琼斯”以一首叫做“Nine Million Bicycles”的单曲横扫欧洲各国排行榜，所在专辑《Piece By Piece》也荣登英国专辑排行冠军，“Nine Million Bicycles”这首歌很有民乐的范式，序曲部分用陶笛低音衬垫，高音部分用了爱尔兰短笛婉转回旋，一个演唱技巧相当出色的女声闪亮出现，雅致深情:
