來自舊金山的華裔歌手Vienna Teng，放棄電腦工程師工作，投身音樂創作，於美國獨立廠牌Virt Records發行首張個人專輯。 Vienna的音樂如同Tori Amos、Suzanne Vega與Sarah Mclachlan的綜合體，充滿靈性和女性意識， 曲式中融入民謠、搖滾等風格，藉由鋼琴和簡單的器樂配置，表達生活裡的二三事。 Vienna Teng是一位受過古典鋼琴訓練且備受歡迎的唱作人。 在沒有學音樂壓力的情況下，她在五歲的時候要求上鋼琴課，正當她完全地研究巴哈和蕭邦的古典音樂作品之際，就已經沈醉在即興演奏裡，同時 表達浮現在自己腦海中的想像。六歲時寫了自己的第一首歌，16歲時就擁有一張器樂演奏的作曲專輯，即使學院生活裡的挑戰並不多，在她仍在史丹佛大學時期發行了一張4首歌的EP，在她畢業前還完成第一張專輯所有曲子的錄音。
