Among equities, NTPC, PowerGrid, Adani Ports, HCL Tech, and Tata Steel were the top gainers, adding between 1.7% and 3.1%. Bharat Electronics, Eternal, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, and Bajaj Finance were the top laggards, with losses ranging from 0.9% to 1.4%.
