The survey showed UK private-sector growth easing to its weakest pace since May, with services expanding more slowly and manufacturing contracting further. Price pressures, however, moderated in September. On the corporate front, Kingfisher jumped nearly 18% after raising its full-year outlook on stronger interim profits, while Smiths Group rose over 3% after reporting annual operating profit above forecasts. In contrast, Raspberry Pi fell 6% following a sharp decline in first-half earnings due to weaker royalty income. GSK slipped 0.4% after reports that the Trump administration requested drugmakers to boost production of leucovorin, a treatment for some autism patients.
