The annual inflation rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina rose to 4.6% in June 2025, the highest since August 2023, accelerating from 3.7% in May. The increase was mainly driven by faster price increases in food and non-alcoholic beverages (10.8% vs 9.9%), education (1.9% vs 0.8%), restaurants and hotels (7.2% vs 6.2%), housing and utilities (1.0% vs 0.2%), furnishings and household equipment (1.1% vs 0.6%), and recreation and culture (4.9% vs 4.4%). Meanwhile, the price decline moderated in transport (-4.3% vs -6.4%). Conversely, inflation softened in alcoholic beverages and tobacco, easing to 3.8% from 4.0%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices inched up 0.3% in June, following a 0.2% rise in May.
